From the late 70s to the mid-80s the Brazilian duo of Robson Jorge and
Lincoln Olivetti wrote, performed on, arranged and produced dozens of hit songs
for a variety of artists, from washed out has-beens to go-getter up-and-comers
to established superstars. Their style was unique and became the symbol of an
era until a huge critical backlash deemed it as too formulaic and aloof and
drove it to oblivion. This second mix dedicated to the duo has the following
tracklist:
Vanusa “Desencontro”
Rosemary “Solidão”
Don Beto “Renascendo em Mim”
Tim Maia “Não Vá”
Cláudia Telles “Um Amor Tão Lindo”
Nara Leão “Amor nas Estrelas”
Adriana “Meu Futuro”
Rosana “Tempo de Sorrir”
Márcia Maria “Amigo Branco”
Mariana “A Música Não Pode Parar”
Jorge Ben “Alô Alô, Como Vai?”
Robson Jorge “Mariá”
Cristina Conrado “Sempre Juntos”
Lucia Turnbull “Aroma”
Os Famks “Labirinto”
Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti “Jorgeia Corisco”
Cover: a Sónia Braga still from the telenovela "Dancin' Days", 1978-79; its soundtrack featured several tracks produced by Robson Jorge and Lincoln Olivetti
